Junior Achievement honors 3 Wichita business leaders
Three Wichita business leaders have been named 2015 Wichita Business Hall of Fame Laureates by the Junior Achievement of Kansas.
They are Paul Allen, chief executive of Allen, Gibbs & Houlik; Bill Livingston, founder and chairman of GLMV Architecture; and Steve Martens, of Martens Commercial Group.
According to a news release from Junior Achievement, the three are being honored “not only for their success in business, but for their dedication and commitment to the local community and the state of Kansas.”
The award winners were selected by a committee based on such criteria as business excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, community impact, leadership style, local influence and enduring legacy. Since 1986, Junior Achievement of Kansas, Sedgwick County District has honored 82 laureates.
Junior Achievement is a group that provides economic information and skills. Junior Achievement of Kansas will serve nearly 26,000 children statewide, including 8,500 children in the Sedgwick County region, this year, according to the release.
