Southwest National Bank has announced the following: Lori Christian has been hired as assistant vice president and trust officer; Katie Smith has been hired as assistant vice president and branch manager at the Towne East facility; Sara Gifford has been promoted to assistant vice president/commercial loans; John Lawrence has been promoted to vice president/commercial loans.

Eddie Fahnestock has been hired by Key Construction as a business developer.

Financial

Stifel has announced the following: Brice Lowe has been promoted to branch manager of the Wichita offices; Brent Buller has joined the wealth management team of Randy Johnson and Ron Dyson at the West Wichita office; Danielle Qualls has been promoted to financial advisor in the downtown office.

Health Care

Via Christi Health has named Kevin Strecker as regional president for Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, St. Joseph and St. Teresa; Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital; and Via Christi Behavioral Health.

Ester Knobloch, Newman Regional Health, Emporia, and Verla Friesen, Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, have completed a national patient-safety fellowship program for leaders of hospitals in a Hospital Improvement Innovation Network, an initiative of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Bonnie Darwin has been hired as the director of the Hillsboro Community Foundation and Central Kansas Community Foundation.
