Hutch businessman to lead convenience store group
Dan Fast, president of Pic-Quik, Inc., Hutchinson, has been elected president of the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas.
The selection was made during the association’s 100th annual convention in Wichita earlier this week.
Fast has been a member of the association’s executive committee for the past three years. He has also served on the PMCA convention committee, and the motor fuels and convenience store committee.
The business was established in 1966 by Ed and Dickie Fitzgerald, the parents of Fast’s wife, Debbie. Dan and Debbie Fast assumed control of the business in 1982, and they now operate six convenience stores in Hutchinson and provide fuel for other retailers throughout the county.
The association, with headquarters in Topeka, provides lobbying representation, educational programs, regulatory guidance and other services to the industry.
