A survey for small businesses in Kansas and the nation shows that small businesses in the state are somewhat positive in their outlook.
The report released Tuesday ranks Kansas 32nd in the nation for how its small businesses view the future, but most states actually ranked fairly close. The survey was done by Thumbtack.com and Bloomberg.
The financial condition of Kansas businesses in the survey looked good. About 80 percent said they expected revenues to accelerate over the next three months, and 70 percent said profits would increase. Most reported that costs such as capital costs, wages and training would stay the same.
Only about 30 percent said they had hired anyone over the past three months, and about 20 percent said they expected to in the next three months.
