Davis-Moore Auto Group is selling its Lincoln dealership to auto dealer Brandon Steven.
"We've been working on this deal with Brandon for a few months now," Davis-Moore president Sean Tarbell said Monday. "It hasn't closed yet, (but) we pretty much have it all approved."
Tarbell said his company's lease on the Lincoln dealership property at Kellogg and Greenwich was expiring. And the company had to make a decision about whether to find a new location for the dealership and sink "$5 or $6 million" into a new Lincoln store.
What's more, Tarbell said, the current location is problematic because of months-long construction on Kellogg.

"With all the construction it had been such a poor location for us," Tarbell said.
Steven said the Lincoln dealership "is a perfect fit for us" and most of its employees will stay once it's under Steven ownership, which is expected May 1.
The dealership will be relocated next to Eddy's Chevrolet Cadillac, 8801 E. Kellogg, in a building previously occupied by Joe Self BMW. Steven said that building is undergoing "interim renovations" and will undergo a second set of more extensive renovations probably next year.
"It's super convenient (having) two of the nicest luxury brands, nicest domestic luxury brands, right next to each other," Steven said of Cadillac and Lincoln.
Besides Chevrolet Cadillac, Steven's other Wichita dealerships are Eddy's Toyota, Subaru of Wichita, Eddy's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Eddy's Volvo Cars of Wichita and Super Car Guys. He also owns Eddy's Mazda of Lees Summit, Mo., in the Kansas City area.
Davis-Moore's dealerships include Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram; Chevrolet; Mazda; Fiat and Alfa Romeo.
