Manpower: Wichita employers expect to hire in fourth quarter

Wichita area employers expect to hire at an active rate in the fourth quarter, according to the local Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.

In the three months starting Oct. 1, 17 percent of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 7 percent expect to cut, yielding a net 10 percentage point difference.

The remainder of employers expect to maintain their current workforce levels or don’t know, according to the survey.

That is a slowdown from the third quarter, when the difference between employers adding and employers cutting was 15 percentage points.
