Milestones

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened its 150th restaurant last week, at 155 W. 64th St. in Loveland, Colo.

Olathe-based Terracon, an engineering consulting firm that’s operated a Wichita office since 1975, is marking its 50th year in business.

New business

Building Controls and Services has been selected by Lane County Hospital in Dighton for a $260,000 electrical and mechanical upgrade project at the hospital.

Service expansion

AT&T has expanded its Business Fiber high-speed Internet service to more than 180 cities in the U.S., including Wichita. The company also expanded its High Speed Internet 75 service to parts of Wichita, Hutchinson, Topeka and Kansas City.

Charity

Sunflower Bank donated $10,117 to Wichita area schools and students through its ABC Program. The bank said 18 students won at least $30 in its Pay for A’s promotion, nine of whom earned $80 or more. Twenty-one area schools received more than $150, with All Saints receiving $1,010 and Wichita East High School receiving $1,599 as the top school recipients.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded a $7,500 grant to KANSEL, a nonprofit that provides adult education services.

HCA, the parent company of Wesley Medical Center and Galichia Heart Hospital, said as part of the earthquake relief efforts in Nepal, it will donate $250,000 to Doctors Without Borders and $250,000 to MedShare International. It also will match up to $500,000 of donations from HCA employees and vendors to the American Red Cross.
