Wichita American Marketing Association celebrated 30 years in Wichita and honored past board presidents last week at Old Cowtown Museum.
Holiday market
Limitless Yoga Studio, 357 S. Pattie, will hold a Christmas Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday that will host 19 artisans and craftsmen selling their products. Admission is free. Newton Medical Center has been recognized by The Chartis Center for Rural Health/iVantage Health Analytics and the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health for overall excellence in patient health outcomes.
The Export-Import Bank of the United States announced Textron Financial Corp. expedited and pre-paid in full the $500 million direct-loan facility that was approved by the bank in 2009. Textron Financial, based in Wichita, finances exports made by Textron Inc., including Textron Aviation aircraft and Bell helicopters.
Charity
Rotary Club of East Wichita delivered complete holiday turkey dinners to 101 families in the Wichita area.
Capitol Federal supplied traditional Thanksgiving meals to more than 225 families across Kansas, including 53 in Wichita.
Metro Appliances & More donated a washer and dryer set to Iraq War veteran Tye Williams, a recipient of Soldier’s Wish, an organization dedicated to identifying unmet needs of veterans.
TGC Development Group partnered with Bite-Me BBQ to offer turkey dinners to the homeless on Monday at Naftzger Park.
Newton Medical Center received a $1,500 grant from the Women’s Community Foundation, an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation, which will be used to provide wound care supplies to patients who can’t afford them.
