Meet the finalists for Wichita’s Small Business Awards
There’s no single map for starting or growing a business successfully.
That truth is highlighted by the divergent paths taken by this year’s nine finalists for the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Awards.
Among them are multi-generational family businesses and companies that grew out of a young couple’s dream.
There are businesses whose owners have toiled for decades, as well as ones that are – relatively speaking – new kids on the block.
But there are a few attributes that the 2015 finalists seem to share: a sure sense of who they are; genuine appreciation for the people who helped them along the way; and an attitude that change often is a good thing.
We hope you enjoy their stories in today’s Business Today, which is among the sponsors of the awards program. And we hope you’ll join us to find out the two overall winners, who will be named at a lunch event May 13.
For more information about the lunch and to make reservations, go to wichitachamber.org and look for the Small Business Awards icon or call 316-268-1129
