New development

Emerald Valley Estates is a new, planned housing development in Mulvane that will feature up to 70 homes with three-car garages on 1/4- to 1/2-acre lots. The Mulvane Chamber of Commerce hosted a groundbreaking for the development last week.

New name

Newton Medical Center has changed the name of its Park City clinic from Medical Plaza of Park City to Park City Family Medicine.

Recognized

Best Law Firms 2018 has awarded Monnat & Spurrier three Tier 1 Rankings in the areas of general practice criminal defense, white-collar criminal defense and appellate practice. The rankings are based on a national assessment of law firms produced jointly by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers.

Charity

The Kansas Health Foundation awarded a $24,927 capacity grant to the Wichita Women’s Initiative Network to develop a marketing campaign to raise public awareness of WIN’s services to low-income women survivors of domestic violence.
