Tech start-up funders coming to WSU April 30
A host of federal agencies looking to fund innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers and small technology firms will be at Wichita State University later this month for the SBIR Road Tour.
The event will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 30 on the second floor of the Rhatigan Student Center.
The agencies have $2.5 billion, billed as the nation’s largest seed fund, for early-stage funding through the federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs. This is a chance for entrepreneurs involved in advanced technology, including women-owned and minority-owned firms, to hear directly from federal agency program managers and to meet one-on-one with program decision-makers.
Register at wichita.edu/sbirroadtour. Set up one-on-one meetings with program managers at sbirroadtour.com/meetings/ks/. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served at the event. For more information about the tour, go to sbirroadtour.com.
