Air Force awards $27 million contract to Textron Aviation’s Beechcraft

The Air Force has awarded a $27 million contract to Beechcraft Defense Co., a unit of Textron Aviation.

According to a Defense Department news release, the foreign military sales contract calls for a King Air 350 ER equipped for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, to be used by Iraq.

The contract also calls for a ground station and a spare ground station.

The release said work on the contract will be performed in Wichita and San Diego, with completion by March 23, 2017.
