Regional manufacturing strengthens in latest bank survey
Manufacturing in the region expanded in June, with strong expectations for future activity, according to a monthly survey by the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank.
The survey index has shown an expansion in manufacturing activity in the bank region for nine of the last 10 months. June’s result is the highest since March.
The bank’s region includes Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wyoming, the western third of Missouri and the northern half of New Mexico.
