Just how cheap is your rent in Wichita?
Rents in the Wichita area in April rose just 1.3 percent from a year ago, according to Apartmentlist.com.
According to the site, the median rent in Wichita is $500 for a one-bedroom apartment and $650 for a two-bedroom apartment. That ranks the city 97th in the nation’s top 100 cities.
Nationally, rents are up 2.4 percent from a year ago, a slower rate than the previous two years.
San Francisco is the most expensive city in the U.S. at $3,470 for a one-bedroom place and $4,560 for two.
