Pratt banker assumes chairman post of Kansas banking group

The CEO of First National Bank in Pratt has been named as the chairman of the Kansas Bankers Association, the organization announced in a news release.

Kelly Mason is an owner of the Pratt bank in addition to his CEO duties. He and a group of local investors purchased the bank from George Chandler in 2008.

Mason started his banking career in the 1980s as a credit analyst at Intrust Bank before moving to other officer and management positions at banks in Lyons and Kingman.

In his role as KBA chairman, Mason will serve as a leading voice for the state’s banking industry on the state and national levels.
