Mirror to provide $1 million toward YMCA facility in Newton
Mirror Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Newton, says it will provide $1 million toward the development of a facility planned in Newton by the Greater Wichita YMCA.
The $15 million YMCA near the interchange of Interstate 35 and U.S. 50 was first announced in early 2012.
In a news release, Mirror said its funding will be used for construction financing and programming at the facility, which is expected to be between 55,000 and 65,000 square feet.
Mirror, Inc., which employs nearly 200 people at 20 locations in Kansas, is a private corporation that providing substance abuse, correctional and other community health and human services, according to its website.
