Wichita area home foreclosure rate falls

Home foreclosure rates in Wichita continued to trend down in June to the lowest rate in at least two years, according to national real estate data firm CoreLogic.

The firm said the Wichita rate was 0.86 percent, the equivalent of 86 homes out of 1,000 homes with mortgages. That is down from a rate of 1.21 percent in June 2013.

It’s also about half of the national foreclosure rate of 1.70 percent.

The percentage of mortgages that are more than 90 days delinquent was 3.53 percent, down from 3.83 percent in June of 2013, according to the firm.
