Kansas saw its gross domestic product jump ahead in the second quarter by an annualized 2.3 percent rate, putting it sixth in the nation, according to the federal Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The biggest part of the jump was the state’s agricultural sector, which contributed more than 80 percent of the state’s growth.

In actual dollars, the state’s economy generated $150.8 billion over the last four quarters.
