The Best Western Plus Patterson Park Inn in Arkansas City has received the Best Western Chairman’s Award, the hotel chain’s highest honor for outstanding quality standards. The hotel, developed and operated by Wichita-based Hospitality Management, is a four-time winner of the award.

Lodging Magazine named WaterWalk Hotel Apartments as one of its 50 Innovators for 2016.

Charity

Cargill donated 2,560 turkeys to the Kansas Food Bank.

Goodwill Industries of Kansas on Thursday will deliver 500 custom-made pediatric gowns to Wesley Children’s Foundation for distribution to pediatric patients across the area. The gowns, made under Goodwill’s Edgar James Apparel brand, were specifically designed for pediatric patients from feedback given by the Wesley Children’s Hospital parent advisory board.

All Angles, a local collision repair center, presented Passageways Ltd. a newly repaired shuttle van last week. Passageways is a local nonprofit that helps homeless veterans. All Angles and its partners donated the parts, materials and labor to repair the Passageways van.
