Brian Pate named to lead pediatrics unit at KU-Wichita

Brian Pate has been named chairman of pediatrics at University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, according to a news release.

Pate was previously the vice president of inpatient services and division director of pediatric hospital medicine at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

He graduated from KU’s School of Medicine in 1995.

The school formed a search committee for a new chairman in July after Barry Bloom stepped down in June.
