Free workshop to focus on raising funds for small business

The Kansas Small Business Development Center at Wichita State University and the Kansas Securities Commission will host a joint workshop next month on raising money for small businesses.

The hour-long workshop, set for 10 a.m. on Oct. 1 at the WSU Metropolitan Complex at 29th and Oliver, will explain the Invest Kansas Exemption as well as crowd-funding and its use as a tool for small businesses to raise money.
