Participating Applebee’s restaurants in Kansas presented a $13,376.50 check to Make-A-Wish Kansas.

Ameriprise Financial advisers, employees and clients – organized by Juhnke Financial Group – will volunteer at the Kansas Food Bank on Nov. 11. The local effort is one of more than 450 sponsored by Ameriprise across the country that day.

Goodwill Industries of Kansas has achieved recertification for the newly issued revision of the International Organization for Standardization Quality Standard. The certification is required by aerospace manufacturers to ensure the highest level of quality.

New services

Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center has acquired and put into service the Navio Surgical System. It is being used to assist surgeons performing partial knee replacements with the goal to expand into total knee replacements. The center will host a free informational session about the new robotics-assisted program at 5 p.m. on Nov. 17.
