Empire Energy USA opens Wichita office

Oil and gas exploration company Empire Energy E&P has leased 2,209 square feet of space at 345 N. Riverview.

The office is scheduled to open in May.

Empire Energy E&P is a subsidiary of Empire Energy USA, which is 95 percent owned by Empire Energy Group of Sydney, Australia. It has large shale holdings in Pennsylvania, New York, and 18,000 acres in Kansas.

The company has about 300 vertical wells producing about 800 of oil per day.

The company’s goals for Kansas this year include increasing its acreage, and it expects to drill at least 10 wells with production of at least 300 barrels of oil per day.
