Newton Medical Center’s Harvest Moon Gala set for Saturday

Newton Medical Center is hosting the third annual Harvest Moon Gala to benefit its women’s center.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Newton Medical Center’s Surgery Center, 800 Medical Center Drive in Newton.

The gala will include a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and jazz from area musicians.

Newton Medical Center CEO Steve Kelly will speak at 7 p.m.

Last year’s benefit raised about $38,500, said Rachel Newell, Newton Medical Center development director.

Registration is $75 for one person, $150 for couples and $450 for a group of six. Tickets can be purchased at the door for the same prices, but advanced registration is encouraged.
