Cessna Aircraft's new Citation Latitude to have longer range
Cessna Aircraft has increased the range capabilities of its Citation Latitude, a new midsize jet under development.
The plane is now expected to have a maximum range of 2,300 nautical miles, which the company says will give it more flexibility to fly a wider variety of missions.
“We made this great aircraft even better,” Trevor Esling, Cessna vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, said in a statement.
The $14.9 million jet fits between the Citation XLS+ and Citation Sovereign. It will carry two crew members plus eight passengers.
Cessna announced the business jet in October at the National Business Aviation Association’s annual convention.
The plane’s first flight is scheduled for mid-2014 with entry-into-service in 2015.
