The Kansas Healthcare Collaborative recently recognized Newton Medical Center for its successful participation in the second round of the national Hospital Engagement Network, known as HEN 2.0, a 12-month comprehensive patient safety initiative conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Charity
The Kansas Food Bank has received a $100,000 grant from Spirit AeroSystems employees’ Good Neighbor Fund, which will be used to purchase food and fresh produce to be distributed through its partner agencies across 85 counties. In addition, funds will be used to help support the Food 4 Kids weekend backpack program, summer food program and Bob Box senior program. Spirit also announced this week that its Good Neighbor Fund is contributing $30,000 to the American Red Cross for flood relief efforts in North Carolina.
