Personal incomes in Kansas jump

Personal income rose solidly in Kansas in the second quarter, placing it seventh among states, according the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Defined as income from all sources, personal incomes rose 1.2 percent from the previous quarter. Personal income includes wages, benefits, interest, dividends, rent, and government payments, such as Social Security.
