TECT Power to expand in Wichita

WICHITA — TECT Power will expand in Wichita, the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition announced today.

The company manufactures turbine engine and aircraft components and assemblies for aviation, industrial and marine applications.

It will renovate space formerly occupied by its sister company, TECT Aerospace, at 2019 Southwest Boulevard. It plans to invest more than $2.7 million in machinery and equipment and building improvements. The company plans to add 26 new jobs in the next five years, in addition to the existing 15 employees.

The coalition worked with Sedgwick County, the City of Wichita and the Kansas Department of Commerce on a package of incentives. The Wichita City Council and Sedgwick County Commissioners will vote on the incentives in coming weeks.
