Murphy Tractor acquires eight Ohio locations
Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. of Wichita, one of John Deere's largest North American construction equipment dealer organizations, has purchased eight Nortrax Equipment locations in Ohio.
The locations include Brunswick (Cleveland), Canton, Cincinnati, Columbus, Lima, Painesville, Youngstown and Vandalia (Dayton).
Nortrax, headquartered in Tampa, Fla., is a John Deere construction equipment dealer.
"The anticipated national economic recovery and the resultant infrastructure rebuilding bode well for our industry," Tom Udland, Murphy president, said in a statement. "It is our intent to significantly increase the side of the business in Ohio, including increased employment."
