Wesley Woodlawn to increase number of ICU beds
Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER has begun work on a $700,000 expansion of its intensive care unit – from eight to 12 beds.
The hospital has seen consistent growth in its emergency department and surgical volumes, which is pushing demand for the ICU beds, said Bill Voloch, Wesley Healthcare president and CEO.
Formerly Galichia Heart Hospital, Wesley Woodlawn has undergone major upgrades in service over the past few years, including adding an MRI, bariatric surgery and elder-care certification.
Key Construction is the contractor on the project, which is expected to be completed by early December.
