McConnell AFB’s main entrance closed for construction

McConnell Air Force Base’s main entrance will be closed for 45 days while construction work is done on the facility’s main road, base officials said.

The main entrance is off Rock Road. An alternate entrance will be open at 31st and Rock, which is just south of the main entrance. The west entrance will continue to be open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
