A vigil in memory of three people shot to death in southeast Wichita earlier this week was held Thursday night outside the house where they were killed.

The ceremony honored the memory of Tuyet Huynh, 45, her daughter Trinh Pham, 20, and her son-in-law, Sean Pham, 21. The Phams’ 5-month-old son, Carsen, was not hurt in the shooting, which occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

Huynh’s 41-year-old boyfriend, Vinh Van Nguyen, 41, was arrested on suspicion of capital murder, with “more than one victim,” according to Sedgwick County Jail records. He is being held on $2 million bond.

Nearly 500 people have donated to an online fund set up to help pay for the three funerals and also provide assistance for Carsen’s future living expenses. The fund has raised more than $23,000 so far. Organizers have set a goal of $40,000.

The online address for the fund is www.gofundme.com/aodszo.
