Sedgwick County deputies write more than 450 tickets for seat belt, child restraint violations

More than 450 tickets were written for seat belt or child restraint violations over a two-week period that ended earlier this week, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

For safety belt violations, Deputies wrote 440 tickets for adults and eight for teenagers. Another 12 were issued for child restraint violations, according to the sheriff’s office.

The special patrol emphasis ended Sunday.
