Brad Paisley takes selfie with Westboro protesters
Some people choose to ignore the Westboro Baptist Church folks. But Brad Paisley isn’t one of them.
When the country star was in town Sunday to perform at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater, protesters from the Topeka church showed up.
So before the concert, Paisley took a photo of himself with the sign-holding gang, dubbing it a “Westboro Baptist Selfie,” and posted it on Facebook and Twitter.
“Hopefully they (the protesters) can hear the show out here,” Paisley wrote. “We'll play loud.”
Westboro protesters are apparently big country fans. (See the smiles on their faces?) They parked outside of Vince Gill’s Kansas City concert in September, when the video of his confrontation with them went viral.
But then they were back in town in March protesting outside of Lorde’s show, too. So go figure.
