The two men hospitalized after a deadly shooting Tuesday in southwest Wichita remain at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, Wichita police Lt. Dan East said Thursday.

No arrests have yet been made in the case, and the two men are currently under guard at the hospital.

At about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, an argument among three residents of WindRidge Apartments, near Meridian and 31st Street South, and an acquaintance came to a head when the 27-year-old acquaintance allegedly shot the three residents in the street, police said.

Two residents – Cayli Phillips, 24, and Eddie Centeno-Martinez, 50 – were killed. A 38-year-old resident and the suspected shooter, who sustained a stab wound in the chest, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
