KU offers faster program for architectural engineering degrees

Architectural engineering at the University of Kansas has streamlined its degree programs, according to a written statement released through the university.

Bachelor’s degrees can now be obtained in a four-year program, rather than five, stating next summer, the statement said. Students can complete it with 128 credit hours rather than 165.

Students will be able to join the job market or start a masters program sooner, the statement said.

Changes in the profession and in economic factors led the faculty in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering to consider the change, the statement said.
