Loss in copper stripped from switches on 135th Street set at $8,400

Someone caused an estimated loss of $8,400 when they stripped copper from three Siemens GOAB switches at a Westar Energy work site near 1900 S. 135th St. West between May 20 and June 3, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call sheriff’s investigators at 316-660-5300 or Crime Stoppers, 316-267-2111.
