Second ‘sensory friendly’ screening set for Saturday at west Warren

Warren Theatres on Saturday will offer a screening of “Rise of the Guardians” in a theater adjusted for children with autism or severe sensory disorders.

The movie is 11 a.m. Saturday at the west Warren, near 21st and Tyler. Tickets are $7.

During the “sensory friendly” screening, the theater house lights will be turned up a little more than usual and the sound turned down. Audience members will be able to move around, talk, dance or sing. They also can bring their own snacks or other refreshments.

This will be the second show for special-needs children and their families in Wichita. A sensory friendly screening of “Wreck-It Ralph” last month drew more than 450 people.
