Wichita holds ribbon cutting for newest dog park
The Wichita Parks and Recreation Department held a ribbon cutting Saturday at the new Meridian Dog Park at 2127 N. Meridian, near 21st and Amidon.
The park features low drinking fountains for dogs, park benches, animal waste bags and time-out areas, organizers say.
The play area has three sections for dogs of different sizes.
It’s the city’s third dog park. The others are at 2400 E. MacArthur Road, east of Hydraulic, and 3313 N. Hillside, south of K-96.
