Where to meet, hear the candidates

A free Voter Empowerment Community Forum is set for 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Tabernacle Bible Church, 1817 N. Volutsia in Wichita. It will be followed by a reception.

The Derby Chamber of Commerce will have a candidate forum Tuesday at Derby City Hall, 611 Mulberry. Candidates in House District 81 and Senate District 28 are expected to respond to questions at 6:30 p.m. Candidates for U.S. Congress are expected to respond to questions at about 7:45 p.m.Questions can be submitted by the audience to the moderator that night. Question forms are also available on the chamber’s web site, www.derbychamber.com.The forum will be broadcast live on Derby Cable Channel 7 and rebroadcast at 7 p.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 2 and Nov. 4, and at 3 p.m. Nov. 1, 3 and 5.
