Exploration Place exhibit has props from all six ‘Star Wars’ movies

Friday is the 35th anniversary of the release of the original “Star Wars” movie. And Saturday is the opening day of the “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination” exhibit at Exploration Place.

If you go through the largest exhibit ever to visit the museum, you will see 80 items that were used in the six “Star Wars” movies, from costumes to weapons to spaceship models. Information with each item includes the episode or episodes of “Star Wars” in which the item appeared.

Of possible confusion to those not well versed in the movies is the fact that two trilogies of “Star Wars” movies were released, and the second trilogy is a prequel to the first. So the first movie, whose anniversary we celebrate today, is considered Episode IV, not Episode I.

To help you navigate the episodes, here’s a list of the movies in order of their release, along with a few iconic items you’ll see in the exhibit from each film.
