12-year-old dies after being struck by Wichita police car

A 12-year-old girl died Sunday night after being struck by a Wichita police car at Broadway and Harry, KWCH, The Eagle’s news partner, reported.

Sedgwick County 911 dispatchers said the girl was struck shortly before 7 p.m. She was reportedly crossing the intersection with another girl who was not injured.

No further details were available late Sunday.
