Singer Miranda Cosgrove injured in bus accident; Wichita concert postponed

Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove's scheduled concert Friday at Hartman Arena has been postponed because of injuries the singer suffered in an accident involving her tour bus this morning in Illinois, Hartman Arena officials said.

The arena should have a new concert date by Friday. Fans who have already purchased tickets will be able to use them on the new date or will be issued a refund.

Scheduled opening act Cody Simpson still will appear for a free performance. The other opener, Shane Harper, will not appear.

The free show starts at 7 p.m. Only Cosgrove concert ticketholders will be allowed into the free show.

Cosgrove, who stars in the Nickelodeon show "iCarly," broke her ankle during an accident involving her bus on I-70, just outside of Vandalia, Ill., northeast of St. Louis, her managers said in a statement.

Five people on the bus were injured, but they are expected to recover, the statement said.

The remainder of Cosgrove's tour is being postponed.
