Spanish-language TV newscast to launch today
KDCU-DT today will launch the first Spanish-language newscast in Kansas, according to a statement from its owner, Entravision Communications Corp.
"Noticias Univision Kansas" will air beginning today at 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays on cable channels 15 and 2015, as well as on Channel 31 for DIRECTV, Dish Network and over-the-air customers.
The newscast will feature local, state, national and international news in Spanish. It will be produced from the KWCH Channel 12, newsroom.
Hispanics represent 13.4 percent of the Kansas population.
