Moran still holds big lead in Senate race
WICHITA — Jerry Moran continues to hold a commanding lead over Lisa Johnston in the race for U.S. Senate, according to the latest KWCH FactFinder 12 poll conducted by SurveyUSA.
According to the survey, Moran, a Republican, would garner 67 percent of the vote to 27 percent for Johnston, a Democrat. Also receiving votes were Reform Party candidate Joe Bellis (3 percent) and Libertarian Party candidate Michael Dann (2 percent). Two percent of those surveyed remain undecided.
The survey had a margin of error of 3.8 percent.
The survey was taken between Oct. 10 and 12. It asked 619 likely Kansas voters, "If the election for United States Senator were today, who would you vote for?"
The election is Nov. 2.
