Missouri man drowns at 'Party Cove' in Ozarks
A Richmond, Mo., man drowned while swimming Saturday night at Lake of the Ozarks, the Missouri State Water Patrol said today.
Todd Cornine, 33, was on a boat with his wife and two other passengers anchored at Anderson Hollow Cove at Mile Marker 4 of the Grand Glaize Arm of the lake, said Sgt. Jerry Callahan, Water Patrol spokesman. The area is also known as "Party Cove."
Cornine jumped off the boat around 8:10 p.m. to go swimming and never resurfaced, Callahan said. His body was recovered at 9:01 p.m. in 16 feet of water. Callahan said alcohol was a factor in the accident.
