Adopt a pet (Aug. 27, 2016)
Sunny, a 6-year-old male Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
So here’s the deal: I’m might be a little reserved at first, but I promise I will come out of my shell in no time. Show me some love and affection, and I will feel right at home. I’m making lots of friends here at the humane society. I even went on a field trip to a nursing home for Project Companionship. I got along great with the other dog that went with us, and I was a perfect gentleman while riding in the car. Now I need a home to call my own. I don’t need much, just people to love and care for me. Plus the staff here love me so much, they waived my adoption fee so you can take me home for free. Don’t keep me waiting too long, OK? Let’s get this adventure started.

I’m part of the Lonely Hearts Club here at the Kansas Humane Society, which means I’ve been searching for my forever home for quite a while. But “hakuna matata” — no worries. I’m sure my best friend will come along any day now.

Are you looking for a classy lady to keep you company? If so, I’m the cat for you. I enjoy curling up on chairs, sitting in the sun and watching out the window. I currently live with three small dogs; I get along with them as long as they stay out of my space. I would prefer to be an only pet or to live with calmer, more mature pets. I’m fine with small children, as long as they are gentle and calm with me. If you’re wanting someone to warm your lap and keep an eye on the house while you’re at work, I’m the cat for you.
