Wichita Cat Fancy cat show this weekend at Cotillion

Exotic breeds and household pets will be on display this weekend as Wichita Cat Fancy presents its annual winter cat show at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg.

The show, licensed by the national Cat Fanciers’ Association, will feature about 150 felines representing 30 breeds, plus everyday cats entered in the household pet category.

Rescue groups will showcase cats for adoption, and vendors will be selling cat toys, supplies and apparel. An information booth will be set up to answer questions about caring for feral cats.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, 3 for ages 6-12 and seniors (55-plus), or $10 for a two-day family pass.

Bunny TNT club meeting to include ‘hop in’

Bunny TNT, a club for people who own and love bunnies, will hold a social event for pet rabbits at its February meeting.

The meeting, at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Kansas Humane Society, at Hillside and K-96, will have a Valentine theme and include a discussion on bunny bonding. The social event, called a “hop in,” is for spayed or neutered bunnies only and lets the bunnies make friends and play.

Bunnies available for adoption will also be at the gathering, including a pair of bonded lops.
