Adopt a pet (July 30, 2016)
Speedy, a 1-year-old male Chinese shar-pei/terrier mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
I was just trying to locate the party. Instead I lost my way and can’t seem to find my way home. I’m a friendly guy who knows how to enjoy life. We’re just supposed to have fun, right? We can have fun together. Don’t worry about stopping for party snacks on the way to adopt me; we have some here. I hope to see you soon.
Also available:
▪ Jane, 4-year-old female shepherd/chow chow mix
Wanna play? I just love to play. I guess that’s why they call me a “goofball” here. I just like to make people smile. I know if I just keep doing my tricks, someday someone will see me and give me a home of my own. Then I’ll have a best friend of my very own. Maybe you could be my best friend? We could go for walks together and then cuddle up on the couch afterward. I promise to keep your feet warm too.
▪ Tigg, 2-year-old male pit bull terrier mix
I’m Tigg and I’m a fun-loving guy who likes to stay active. I will certainly fill your days with fun and activity. You won’t be bored around me, that’s for sure. Intelligent, independent, confident and clever, I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. We’re partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we’ll both live happily ever after.
▪ Harry, 6-year-old male domestic shorthair mix
Psst. Hey, over here. I’m Harry. I’d love to get to know you, but I can be a little shy at first. I’m nervous being back here at the shelter. I was adopted by a nice family when I was a kitten, but sadly they had to give me up because they couldn’t afford to take care of me anymore. So now I’m looking for a new best friend. Don’t be put off if I take a second to warm up to you. Give me one good scratch behind the ears and I’ll be your best friend forever.
▪ Lady Francis Drake, 7-year-old female domestic shorthair
I’m a sweet and sassy lady just looking for my forever home. The staff here call me a “sidekick” because I make the perfect companion. Like all sidekicks, I’m just good company. I’d gladly accompany you on any adventure — as long as there are no dogs, that is. I’d much prefer to live away from those big guys. I do get along with kids, though. I’m sure I could make friends with them and anyone else you might have in your home. So come by the shelter today. Our happily ever after could start today.
