Adopt a pet (July 23, 2016)

Cici
Cici Kansas Humane Society

Cici, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

I’m looking for someone to help me break out of my shell. I’m a real sweetheart and I just know that with a little time and a lot of love I’ll be able to become more comfortable and really shine. All of your patience and hard work will really pay off when my personality blossoms and you are rewarded with a happy, loving and loyal dog for life.

Also available:

▪ Speedy, 1-year-old male Chinese shar-pei/terrier mix

Dang it. I was just trying to locate the party. Instead I lost my way and can’t seem to find my way home. I’m a friendly guy who knows how to enjoy life. We are just supposed to have fun, right? We can have fun together. Don’t worry about stopping for party snacks on the way to adopt me; we have some here. I hope to see you soon.

▪ Coco, 1-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

My name is Coco and I’m a sophisticated cat who knows what she wants. What I really want is a home of my own and someone special to love me. When I first came to the shelter I was pretty scared but then I made friends with another cat named Bert. Now we’re the best of friends. Most of the time you can find the two of us cuddled up on our cat tree together. Maybe you have room for both of us in your heart? You can adopt us both for free, ya know. Plus I’d hate to leave my friend behind. I’m extremely loyal. Once we become friends, I’ll stick by your side forever.

▪ Kingman, 3-year-old male domestic shorthair mix

Are you looking for the perfect man? Well, look no further because I am one cool cat. I like to spend most of my days sprawled out, soaking up the sunshine in front of a window. But when you get home, it’s all about cuddle time. I’m not too active. I’m more than happy to curl up on the couch with you and watch a movie — your choice of course. I’ll purr away while you pet my ears and I’ll quietly “knead” your legs with my little paws. Doesn’t that sound nice? Our perfect night in starts with a trip to the humane society.

▪ Aero, male rat

Hey, toots, the name is Aero. Me and my boys here are lookin’ for a new crib. The rat pack is tired of New York. The town isn’t the same since that “Pizza Rat” moved in. I mean, who ever heard of a rat finishing off a deep dish anyway? We much prefer our seeds and pellets. Could we move in with you? We promise not to steal your pizza.
